I have a 1999 AWD with auto load leveling. The system went out sometime ago I the rear air shocks lost air. Not able to spend money to track down the problem I simply replaced the air shocks with standard shocks. Now when towing the rear sits too low and the truck is unstable over 65 mph. Can I install manual air shocks on this vehicle? Also are the springs of a lighter variety on this truck since it came with the air suspention?

Also this truck rides so rough it is jarring things loose all over. As noted above when I replaced the shot rear air shocks with standard shocks I also replaced the fronts.

Can you guys help by making suggestions as to improve the ride and towing capability of the explorer. I have a 1999 5.0 V8 AWD Explorer. My boat weighs about 4000 lbs and I put a frame type hitch on it. Thanks
