Hello Gents,

I own a 1996 Explorer Sport 2wd, and I am in the process of changing the bushings for the front and rear swaybars.I have a set of polyurethane bushings from Raybestos. When I wanted to replace the bushings on the rear, I unfortunately found out that they did not fit.The bushings were for a larger diameter sway bar.My rear swaybar is about an inch thick. The bushings however will fit the front sway bar, which is about twice as thick. My question to you is, are there differences in thickness for the rear swaybars between the Explorers ( 2 door versus 4 door )? If so, is there a reason ? I have already upgraded the leafsprings to the 4-doors multipack.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards from rainy Netherlands.

Udo.
