Rear window defroster

Rear window defroster switch is not lighting up and rear defroster is inop.

I have checked all fuses (OK), I have checked for power at rear grid (NONE).

Before I start to pull my dash apart - has someone else had this problem and found the fix?

check your rear defrost relay... its probably not operative.

thanx - where would I find that?

according to my 96 reference, behind the instument / dash panel.... top right hand side (passenger side) ugggggh.... doesn't sound like an easy thing to get at but hopefully it is.
