I Have A 91' X and A 93' X. Both The Trucks Have The Rear Drivers Windows Broken. The Motor Runs, But The Wire That Makes It Move Up And DOwn Pulled Out Of The Motor. Anyone Have Any Ideas On How To Fix This? I Got Pissed At My 91' And Ripped The Whole Motor Out And Threw It Away. But I COuld Still Fix My 93' Before Needing Medication Again... Any Ideas Or Help WOuld Be Appreciated.

Happy Halloween!:exp: :fire:

I think I would see what a wrecking yard replacement motor would cost. If you go to a yard that allows you in to pull your own parts you might get one for as little as $10.00 to $20.00.

Some parts stores sell rebuilt window motors. That might cost you around $60.00, but I'm not sure. I don't know if the Explorer window motor is one they offer or not. Check with AutoZone, Napa, AdvanceDiscount, or??? Check their sites online, you won't even have to get up or get the phone and phone book to do that.

Remember, if the motor hasn't ever been removed before there might be some drilling that will need to be done in the door(s) to make it easy to get to the motor retaining bolts. MOST Fords I have worked on have to have this done anyway, I'm not sure about the Explorers.

Go to the "Wanted" page and post a request for a window motor. It might cost more than running down and picking up a wrecking yard or rebuilt parts store motor though.

You can also try rockauto.com... should be about $50..
