Been searching for a while, but I haven't found a thread that is even close to my problem.

My rear wiper does work ok, but it seems that the wiper arm spring doesn't have enough compression and my wiper only cleans at the end of the cycles and some in the middle ... I already changed the wiper blade and it didn't help.

is there a way of fixing this without replacing the entire unit??

Thanks,
Gianni

thanks again ...

I'm gonna try those things first ...

How much for a wiper motor and arm if those possible solutions do not work???

I believe the motor runs about $89.99 and the arm is $69.99. Its been a while since I've checked... those prices might be for OEM parts. I'm sure aftermarket would be a lot cheaper.

The arm should be about $35. That sounds about right for the motor. They usually give you a $25 core charge back when you turn in your old motor.

rear wiper

I just went through the same thing, get a reAR WIPER ARM FOR A 2000. worked perfect.

My motor from Advanced Auto was $40 with a lifetime warranty.

First try bending the wiper arm. Second, try modifying the nubs underneath the wiper arm as I described in the other thread linked in an earlier post. Third, try a new motor.

Good luck!

I bent the wiper arm like you guys told me ... It got much better to the point that it doesn't bother me anymore

Lets see if it lasts!!

Thanks,
G

Heh. After reading this thread (and the other one linked from here) I tried bending the arm too. It works perfectly now! Thanks!
