I have a couple of questions though. Does it go second from the bottom "right above the flat spring"? Does it go in the same direction as the rest of the springs like a "u"? And finally, it came with four bolts but the AAL's only have a hole for one. Thanks for you help. Is there anything I should be aware of before I install them?
Thanks,
Chad

P.S. If I could get a picture of your installation that would be great. Thanks.

Did you read the instructions?

1) yes, it goes right above the flat overload spring
2) same direction
3) use the largest centerpin that will fit, it probably came with 2 large ones and 2 smaller ones.

4) grease the ends of the aal where they meet the underside of the next leaf so they don't squeek.

I read what I could of the instructions, they got pretty torn up from shipping. Thanks for the help.

AAL

Yes, it goes "right above the flat (overload) spring" and yes, it installs in the same direction as the others. As far as the bolts go...use the largest that will fit. Simplest way I know to help.

Just make sure you block the front wheels and use jack stands that can handle the height and weight. Do one side start to finish then the other. Other than that...pretty simple.

Ever think about ditching that overload spring?
I never saw any reason for mine after the AALS and chucked them.

im not sure if your gonna take the whole spring unit out and install the leaf and then put it back in, but if you do make sure it goes back in the same way. theres a long end and a short end.
