I bumped mine up to 42 PSI. The ride is stiffer but the shocks actually seem to be functioning better. Definitely less wallowing/wandering than i saw at 27-28 PSI.
I will check the gas mileage over the next couple of weeks to see if it improves. i was getting about 250-260 on a tank (about 18 gallons).
Goober.

I got as high as 320 in the past on 35 PSI. It helps if you REALLY top it off - you can squeeze a few more gallons in there from the first shut-off click. However, the constant A/C use lately has put me back down in the 230 range. :(

bumped mine from the set 30 psi to 40 (tire rated at 44psi) seem to be good for mine ... crappy goodyear tires that cam factory on these....

I still have the Goodyear stockers on my 99 and just bumped it from 26psi last night to 34psi all the way around, seemed to definitely make it more nimble and more responsive. I haven't had the thing long enough to get any good MPG figures though...

My tire sidewall reads 50psi max cold pressure. They are 30 x 9.5 LT tires. I'm running about 43 psi now. That seems hight but, that's what's on the tire. Thought on going closer to the 50# mark? 1996 xlt 4 door 4x4.
