Red HVAC controls

Just did this today what do you guys think? Any ideas on how to get a deeper red? I put three shades of VHT Red Nightshades on and used LED lights. The temperature control wasn't touched thats the red on the overlay.

If you feel like taking that unit out and pulling it apart, there's a thin green/blue film behind those. If you peel/scrape that film off, it'll be white and clear. Whatever color LED you put behind will work.

I took out the unit and pulled out the film and put the nightshade on. Unfortunately it wasn't bright enough and me being stupid super glued it on and so when I pulled off the overlay to repaint it I ruined it so I have ordered a new one and will be trying it again.... Or maybe just stick with the stock colors with LEDs.

Mine with stock color, but white LEDs gives me a nice blue color.

That's for 97 or older though.
