Cool! I like the Ninja Turtles sticker

Looks stock!!! Good job!!!

Did you wet sand the paint to make it that shiny?

i noticed that if you only put on one layer and are careful there isnt really a need to wetsand. I got one little bubble i will be taking care of with some 2000 grit but thats it. The second light i put it on in two coats and it had major orange peel so i wetsanded right afterwards (your supposed to wait 48 hours, and it got cloudy) so i stripped all the paint and started over with just one layer and it looks perfect now (that orange one is actually after it was stripped)

And here's mine next to my moms Mountaineer.

that looks great but can you get pulled over for that??

No.

Give me a call 259-4588 or AIM me Greg, we gotta meet up if you haven't already gone back to SD man! I got stuff for you. ;)

:smoke:
LOL

Those are awesome. Do the signals appear amber still, or red now?

Sweet. Nice inexpensive mod. How much time did it take?

So you only applied one coat? I put 3 on each light and they didnt come out that dark. Maybe I need to redo them? T make the light true red when the light is blinking, I sprayed some paint on to the bulbs themselves, and now the output light is true red.

i did mine with 2 coats, i actually deliberately made them flash orange as that appears more stock and more legal.

How'd you do that???

Testors Translucent Candy Apple red. Model Paint. search for testors and you'll find a few write ups. Basically you clean the lense well and then tape off the parts that you dont want to paint. Then its just like spray painting anything else. If you have any specfic problems lemme know....

I actually meant how'd the last guy that posted make them flash orange. I don't want to be illegal.

I shoulda quoted him, my fault. But now that you answered, I wanted to know- do you paint the inside or outside of the lense?

The outside. You can use an amber 3157 bulb and they will flash orange

Thanks guys. I gotta try that out.
