My understanding is the transmission takes some time, but "learns" your driving style and adjusts shift points. So aggressive driving will keep it in "Pursuit Mode" more often and yes shift at redline.

Yah I had to reset that learning mode a couple times now. I broke down and got a tuner to limit my rpm. Seems to be working better now and the awesome tune I got doesn't hurt either haha.
