:us: There is a Factory Installed relay in the LH rear access panel with the rear window washer tank that has wires running down to the center of the rear bumper. The 4 relay wires are Orange, Black, Lt Grn/Or and Yellow. I can not find it in my Chilton wiring diagram. It appears that I am the 5th person to be installing trailer wiring. What a mess, all previous splices where just cut and left hanging including the wiring from this relay. Is this trailer wiring for a brake control unit leading to the dash? Thanks for viewing my post

post a picture and I can decipher it.

The standard trailer package setup uses three relays. The diagram I have is from the 1991-1995 Haynes manual; its accuracy is not known.

The source power side of the relays is the Yellow wire. Power to the trailer lights is shown as: LH stop/turn = Y, RH stop/turn = DG, and running lights = T/W.

Source signal side of the relays have the following: LH stop/turn = LG/O, RH stop/turn = O/LB, and running lights = BR. Signal grounds are as follows: LH stop/turn = P/Y, RH stop/turn = O/BK, and running lights = O (another diagram shows all three as O). The signal grounds come together and actually connect to the frame ground when the special cable adapter is plugged in under the bumper (BK).

Thanks to agzaretzka & urbanistic

Could not respond sooner, I was blocked from my juno email, got a bug from somewhere.
Thank you for your help agzaretzka, & urbanistic.

The Haynes wire diagram fits what I have. Just the connector behind the bumper was cut out and the splices changed color from there on.
