Removal of Xfer Case shift knob

Anyone know how to remove the shift knob of the manual-shift transfer case?

Is it pressed on as opposed to screw on?

Thanks.
 






its heated and pushed on just pull it straight up and off, sometimes you will need to twist it to break the seal and put glue on it to get it to hold
