Xfer Case Q

Hi:

I have a chance to pickup a BII with a manual Xfer case. From the searches I have done it seems that the BII came with a 1350 Xfer case as standard. Can anyone confirm this?

The BII is an 88 with manual hubs, 5 speed trans, and manual xfer case. I would like to switch my 94 from electric xfer to manual. What problems will I encounter.

Your'e right, the BII came with the BW-1350 transfer case.

If you swap the 1350 and the front BII driveshaft into your Explorer, you shouldnt have any problems. The only conern might be that the BII's front driveshaft is either too long or too short. The 4wd lights will also blingk for the shift motor is missing but I'm sure this is not a cocnern of yours
