I need to resolder/change the resistors so I don't have the dim lights problem. Is there a how-to on removing it so I don't just pull/pry/unhook randomly? Search hath failed me. :(

I found one for the second gen cars. Is it the same? It seems every mention I find (even via Google) has different instructions.

Worked for me.

Not sure how to share the link, but do a search for indiglo gauges, and BIGTIGEXPLORER has an excellent post on how to remove the instrument cluster. I followed it and got the cluster out and back in, in about an hour.

Thanks again, Rondo. That second link is exactly what I need  It seems my Mounty exhibits every single one of the annoying "problems" these trucks have. Luckily, nearly everything I have done so far has been free/cheap. Now, for the UCA's and viscous clutch

Good luck!! :salute:
