Wow, I really like the all black look you've got going on. The black paint, tint, and roof rack really make a good combination

Thanks! I'm considering some darker tint and blackouts for my headlamps...
and of course... whenever I have enough money when I get to college and do my coilover sas.... when I get new rims, they will be black :)
I'm glad I took the bars off though.... it seems plenty higher.

My opinion is if you remove the nerf bars you shoud also remove the brushguard and the tire rack. You appear to be making it a street truck with your future plans, so why not just chuck the rest of the off-road stuff and do it right?

LoL! I'm not trying to make a street truck. I am trying to keep my nerf bars from tearing up my tupperware when I get high centered on them. Pretty soon I'm gonna have some rocksilders buildt and get some skidplates... that way I won't tear my car up.

nweibley- What is the % of your tint? Sorry for going off subject, and the truck looks really good :D

No worries. Aie... I don't know off the top of my head.... I bought the truck like that. Believe it or not, the tint in the first pic and the tint in the second pic is the exact same. On a sunny day with shade on the windows (no glare) you can see in pretty well.... but on hazey or overcast days, its hard to see in.
On the rear, I think its like 15-20%. On the front it is slightly higher. I know it is all around above ten and below thirty. Other than that, I know I want the whole thing a little darker, with my fronts matching my rears.... but I have to say, you can see out very well in low light conditions, and you definatly cannot see in.

I think it looks better without the nerfs

That said, I'm interested in buying them.......

i removed my bars from my 95 explorer due to the amount of corrosion on them....i had them off for a year and found my tires were throwing a lot of stones and crap up... as a result i was getting chips along the bottom of the doors...i've since put the bars back on and need to either buy replacements or find a way to paint them up to stop the corrosion

Looks good.. I just put mine back on too. After I finished the lift and put on 32's, I needed to running boards so short people (ie: mom, gf, etc) could get into the truck with minimal compliants. And the boards to protect your doors from plenty of flying rocks (which my AT tires seem to be good at picking up)

You might want to put those running boards back on for when your out wheeling. They saved my friends body. Those were the first things that hit, but then again, he might have been ok without them since, with out them you gain more clearence. Just a suggestion! -Jeff

Dont worry... after I get my 2" BL and some bigger tires I'm getting sliders and skid plating to protect my belly. :)
