i thougt if i go to a bigger tire the abs sensor would not work right and the tires may lock up because of the difference in the rotation of the stock tire and bigger tire.

ok thanks:D

Four0Sport is correct.. the ABS tone ring used to determine wheel speed doesn't care about tire size. The speed may be slightly off (due to the larger tire size), but the ABS computer is only trying to determine if a wheel is locked up or not. I have no issues with my 33s with 4WABS (4wheel ABS).

one other question i had was if i get a rear axle from a second gen (because of disk brakes) would it work with the stock master cilinder or not and if so what modifications would i have to do?

Swapping in an 8.8 with disc requires no Master cylinder change.. you may need a new parking brake cable.. There are several threads on the subject you'll need to search...

BTW here is disc brake conversion info. Not an axle swap, but details the info needed into getting disc brakes to work..

will the main line that goes to the splitter on the axle be the same threads so that i just screw it on to the spliter on the second gen axle? and will the abs connector be the same on the first gen and the second gen axle? and why do people say that i have to get a second gen master cilinder? and is it neccecary(all i want is to have better rear brakes)

anyone pelase?

the 91-94 master cylinder is for a vehicle with rear drum brakes, which require less pressure to operate. you can put a 95-01 rear diff with disc brakes on the vehicle and run them w/out a new master cylinder and still stop fine. some people mess with the piston rod on the 91-94 master cylinder or upgrade to a 95-01 mastercylinder as they provite more pressure and volume for the rear disc brakes.

but like DeRocha said.. you do not HAVE to upgrade your master cylinder, just be a little creative with the e-brake cable.

and once again.. searching is your friend.
