I am currently working on a project for my 1999 XLT with the full-length console, CD changer, and rear air/radio controls. I am completely removing the console to replace with a custom console I can keep my equipment in, but I want to keep the CD changer. From what I understand, if the large connector is unplugged, this will not work, and niether will the rear speakers or sub. I like my system, so the only other solution I could come up with is to remove the controls and ducting for the rear air, and the CD changer, and transfer them into the custom console.

How do I go about removing the rear air controls from the rear of the factory console?
