Has anyone here removed theirs totally? I've read here and there that you don't really need the rear at all. I'm thinking I'll try this out as soon as theres no ice in the driveway to crawl around on, but if you have an opinion lets hear it!

i would say leave it in on for street driving and take it out for off roading. the whole point of those bars is to stop the truck from rocking. if your doing high speed on the road, and have to do an evasive maneuver it may cause your truck to become unstable and roll.

although that being said, off road it will make it harder for your suspension to flex when you go over stuff.

street on
trail off

Yeah I have disconnects en route for the front, but I've heard of some people driving with no sways, and some with only fronts.

yea, i still wouldn't do it.

driving on paved roads at higher speeds without any sway bars is extremely reckless.

take them out and go down a road and start driving in an s. then image it when your going like 70+KM an hour.

i guarantee you wont like it lol

I have my rear bar removed completely, and I didn't notice much of a difference at all on the road. I also had to dodge a moose on ice with quite a few inches of powder everywhere at 65mph.

I do still have my front though, with poly bushings.. I love my truck on the street.
With the front removed, the sway becomes dangerous.. I'm experienced with it at this point but wouldn't make a habit of driving with it disconnected because it's still dangerous.. Off-road with the front disconnected makes the ride smoother off-road [depending on what you're driving on and how fast], but on/off road the sway is ridiculous without the front. I can't justify making disconnects for the front, I tried to check any differences with it on/off and the articulation was still crap.. you can blame the stock IFS. So I leave mine on for great handling on the road.

Honestly, I don't think the stock rear bar did much at all other than limit articulation off-road.... on road differences are minimal.

just drill out the threads and use a couple trailer hitch pins cost me about $10
