Anyone have an easy way to get the speakers grills off the front doors? I got some new speakers and want to install them. Do I just pry it off? I dont want to mess the grill up since I will be putting it back on after I put the speakers in. (Its a 2000)

Thanks

no can do....

in order to get to the speakers you have to remove the whole door panel, the speakers grills and door panel are all the same thing.

just pry it off and you are set.

Yea I just went out and realized that. However I unscrewed the 2 screws but it seems to lock on something..How do I completely get it of?

The back door ones come right off but not like the front..

Thanks!

is it the wires to the power windows/locks?

hum....

well, im pretty sure after i took the two screws out above the door handle it just poped off.

the only spot that was sticking more than the rest was at the top left corner, where the panel goes up. but once you get all the little connector things popped out, youve gotta slide the panel up to get it out of a track at the top.

the power lock and window wires may also be stuck on something.

good luck!!

The door panels are held on with plastic rivets. You can get a door panel removal tool from any autoparts store. It makes the job a lot easier. Also, do a search for Door Panel Removal. Someone did a step-by-step approach to it...

Maybe Im doing the wrong thing because Ive spent like an hour just pulling at it and nothing happens.

Am I supost to take off the piece with the lock and window buttons? That what Ive been trying to get off for the last hour and can not get it...

I just cant figure out what im supost to be pulling on and where these "white" things are that people say pop off when you get it.
Its driving me crazy.

Yea i searched for it and found a detailed thing but didnt help me... As you can tell im not the smartest guy at these types of things...Ive had a KKM filter for 9 months and still havent been able to install it.

lol, it comes off the exact same way the rear does...the white things arent visible, just take a screwdriver and slide it under the panel. Slide it sideways until u run into something(the white thing) then pry it off there. There is a rivet about every 8-12 inches.

the back of the panel has a bunch of plastic pop rivets holding it to the door. if you dont have the panel removal tool, use a strong butter knife and slide it behind the panel. then pry the panel off slowly till the pieces pop out.
