Today my rear-view mirror fell off, and I need to get out the little metal bracket so I can glue it back on the windshield. Does anyone know how to do this, cause I can't figure out how to get the little bracket out of there..... thanks.....

this happened twice on my old 91 sport. i think that little metal thing just slides out of the "arm" on the mirror. you might have to force it slightly, but if you think youre forcing it too much, be careful, i dont wanna be responsible for you breaking anything, heh.

On mine, I have to jam a small screwdriver in the opening to release the retainer spring. See if yours has a small rectangular opening on the underside of the bracket. You have to hold the tension off the spring, then slide the little plate out. Hope this makes sense!:)

Had to give it a little pressure, but sure enough, it came out!! I was afraid to force it, but it finally gave in..... thanks guys!!!
