There IS NO INSIDE HANDLE. The outside handle to open the door just flaps and won't work. I need to get inside to fix the handle mechanism and I can't figure out how to get the panel off. I can only open the window part; the bottom hatch door won't open. Every place I look for help to get the inside panel off tells me to start with the inside handle. THERE ISN'T ONE IN A 2000. Can anyone help me???? I'm sick of this damned thing not working.

The inside handle they're referring to is the pull handle. Lift up and there are 2 screws under there.

Rear panel is post #4 in my thread.

Thank you, Joe!

Thank you SO much! When the danged door was jammed shut everyone kept telling me to open it from the inside handle......needless to say, there isn't one, so thank's for clearing that up, meaning the pull strap.........hopefully I can now get the latch mechanism out and a new one in!!! Again, thanks a lot.

No prob... Good luck!
