Replaced ball joints

I just replaced my ball joints and tie rod ends. I took my 2000 explorer for a low speed test drive around the block and noticed that there is a shimmy in the front end, it even does it in the driveway sitting still if the brake pedal is pressed
and the steering wheel is turned a little. I am going to get it aligned, but I am wondering if it is something more than just the toe being whacked out?

Always get an alignment after replacing suspension components. Tie rod ends especially- wrong toe in can cause major issues.

I ran a string on the tires and discovered that the right front was toed in about a half inch and about a quarter inch on the left side. I made some adjustments and the shimmy is gone. I will feel better about driving it to the alignment shop now.
