I have a foot or two of rubber line between my trans cooler and the metal lines that run back toward the transmission. They look crusty and oily as if from seepage where they connect to the cooler.

The "pressure rated" fuel-injector hose in that size (OD 3/8) is godawful expensive. Will ordinary fuel line work as a replacement?

1 of the hoses to the cooler on mine was leaking from a pin hole. The shop replaced it. Not sure what type of hose they used. They just cut the right lenght from a hose reel they had. Been fine for a year.

Yeah, I suspect that regular fuel line could contain the pressure, no problem. That's probably what they used. Just looking for some confirmation. Thanks!

Um why not buy 3/8" auto transmission cooler line for like $3?
Its not a high pressure system, but it is high heat and needs to handle ATF.

I have rubber lines from trans to coolers, only a little of the metal stock lines are left

I had so much trouble just finding 3/8 fuel line (went to three places yesterday), I wouldn't have imagined they had such a thing as trans cooler line.

Carquest, Checker, pep Boys, napa, Autozone, they all carry it.

Got mine from Napa. Goodyear brand.
