I seem to have misplaced one of the screws that secures the roof rack. I am refering to the screw with the hole through it (thumb screw) and need to secure a replacement. Does anybody know the part number? and does anybody have an online website that I can order it from (preferably without having to make a phone call) right now it's zip tied in place which looks all too tachy.

Thanks in advance

cheapest easiest solution would be to try a salvage yard and get what you need off of a wrecked/damaged explorer.

the fastest solution is to just order it online. it's cold outside, and a muddy scrap yard is not how I envision spending my weekends. Especially for what I expect is a sub $5 screw.

It's cold outside? C'mon. It'll take you all but 5 minutes to get a screw from a boneyard. Oh yea, did I mention you don't have to wait for it to get to your door?

You asked for an answer, ya got one. I second it.

Take one of the matching screws and go to Fastenal. They should have it.

I live in chicago. THe only bone yard within a 45 min drive sucks. THey won't have anything newer then a late 90's. I am not certain if ti's the same screw. So basically I have to spend an hour driving to a bone yard, 30 minutes finding a matching vehicle trucking through snow and mudd to get a $5 screw. My time is worth more than that.
