2002 Explorer Sport Trac
Hey all. Noob here. I'm not mechanical like many of you. I have a stock 2002 ST. I want a stiffer ride b/c now it's very very soft and bouncy. It almost feels like whatever is there is plain worn out. It's got 110k miles and I don't know anything about it's history. Are there some stiffer shocks etc that I may be able to have installed that will stiffen up the ride a little for me?

I'm not doing any mods on the ST other than putting on 265/70/16 on next paycheck. Thanks a ton.

those tires are a lot like the ones i bought my truck with they are good but not a tire for aggressive off road. as for shocks many us rancho 5000's a few of us run the new load adjusting monroe sensatracs in the rear to help prevent leaves flattening was my reason on the load adjusting rears.

yup, ranchos and sensatracs are pretty nice on these trucks, if youre looking for a stiffer ride than that, check out the pro comp es series of shocks. a little stiffer than a lot of guys dig, but they come a little cheaper than ranchos or monroes. good luck

I put Sensa Tracs on my old '05 and liked them real well.

either way when with that many miles and if you get new shockes you will notice major improvments, i replaced mine and i noticed a HUGE difference in ride. much less bouncy.

OK. THanks. Great suggestions. I will take them to heart!
