I talked to a Ford service advisor today, and he said one of the reasons my car may be pinging is that it has a blown intake gasket, thus allowing oil into the combustion chamber. I have noticed my car using oil, and has a very bad ping problem, especially on the highway, where it pings under any throttle pressure. How would I tell if my car is getting oil into the combustion chamber? Also does anyone think this is worth a try?
