My brake lights are out on my 99 Ranger. The "brake pedal position switch" fuse appears to be fine and the bulbs are fine, so I purchased a brake light switch that apparently goes on the pedal. I don't know very much about mechanics, but would love to install this by myself and save some money. Any help or suggestions?

Where is location of the locking tab for the connector?? top bottom ect.???

Welcome, Mikee! Not sure where the locking tab is, but if you're wanting to replace the switch, I suggest first try spraying the plunger button with a little wd40. That's all it took to 'fix' my switch years ago when it quit working. They tend to gum up with dirt and stop working. Worth a shot?
