hi guys i searched the subject but couldnt find what im looking for..

i recently purchased a 93xlt 2wd and noticed the ride was very rough, i did the bounce test and felt that my front left shock probably needs to be replaced... from what ive read here the gabriels are affordable and pretty good, my question is when i replaced the 2 fronts do i need to replaced the 2 backs? im not very sure what brands are on them now, also i live in an apt builduing and space and tools isnt really available.
i have some basic tools and can probably get a jack.. or should i just pay up and have them installed?

thanks for the help
:)

They are very easy to install, you can replace them with a few wrenches and sockets.

thanks for the reply ;)
im having a hard time finding gabriels here in canada
i think i will be going with the ranchos 5000 or monroe sensatrac,,, my question is i can only afford the fronts right now.. is it worth for me to do it and just leave the back ones as they are right now??

thanks

Yeah you can do that.

I would stay away from the Rancho 5000. My Explorer has them on it now and it's a really rough ride. I thought it was maybe cause they were old, but the original owner gave me a ton of receipts and they have about 30k miles on them.
