Replacing Steering Column

If I replace my steering column with one out of a junk yard, how am I going to get keys fitted? They also need to fit the doors. Do I take this kind of thing to a lock smith... or can i buy this kind of stuff online and install it myself?? Please help!

The ignition switch comes out. Use the old one in the hew column

Thanks jtsmith I'm going to the junk yard now to check everything out. If for whatever reason, this doesnt work, whats my next route?

Well, I still don't know what is broken.
I was going to ask, Why you are replacing the steering column?

push comes to shove a lock smith will take care of you but the lock sylender comes out very easy.

Got the steering column out of a junk yard this morning and there was a Steering Column Specialist right around the corner and he was able to swap them out for $20. Done deal. Thanks for the replies!
