Replacing Trim Pieces ext..

So I recently purchased a 2002 Explorer XLT.
It has the grey trim around the fenders/bottom doors, but I prefer the look of it all being the same color as on the limited edition. Is there a way to buy the trim pieces in a factory oxford white and just swap them out without having to get anything professionally painted?

I've also seen some Explorers that came stock just don't have the trim pieces. Can I just remove what's on there and leave it that way or is there holes underneath the trim?

Second part of my question...
If there is not a way to do that I was thinking of repainting them black and also painting from the bottom of the windows up black. Aka a Ranger Rover paint scheme.
Does anyone know how this would look? Or has anyone done it before?

I eventually plan on lowering it 2 inches and putting some 20" wheels on it if that helps at all.

Any feedback is much appreciated!!

Odds are good you will spend less getting them professionally painted over replacing all of the trim.

I am 90% sure there are holes underneath the trim.

As far as two toneing it, that is up to you. If you like it that is all that matters.
