I was thinking about getting the kenwood kdc-419 HU but Im not sure what speakers to get. Im not looking to really thump out but I dont want no blue light specials either. What do you guys recommend?

I used to own a 92 EB until it died and it had the premium audio system and that thing ruled. It had the sub that was in the passenger side rear that made all the difference in the sound and I just remembered how perfect that system was. Not too loud and not too crappy. Would it be possible to dig up one of those and stick it in my 91? Would a dealership or someone else still carry the necessary stuff I would need? Or should I just scrap it and just buy the new HU and speakers? Any advice would help. Thanks.

How much you looking to spend?

I would recommend buying a fairly small 2 channel amp

50 x 2 or so...and a set of components for up front.

Then buy some 6.5's or 5x7s...which ever you want...to stick in the back and run them off the head unit

if you are wanting good sound for cheap...i would recommend a set of Kicker components. At CBRstereo.com you can get a set of Kicker K5.2 5-1/4" components for $119.

For the rears I would say Kicker K57 5x7s....$79. The reason I am staying kicker is because they are relatively cheap and I know for a fact that they are good speakers.

For amp I would say a an Alpine MRP-T130...$105 at ccbrstereo.com. This will give you 50 or 60 watts for each component set.

So far we have just over $300 spent.

All you need now is an amp kit...which can be bought for $30 bucks. Now you have a setup that will sound really good...for around $330(keep in mind shipping)

im not really looking to spend much more than $400 on the speakers + amp. I already bought the HU
