I completely forgot about this until today. When I installed my strobes in the taillamps I drilled through the rubber grommit to run the wires. On the driver-side I accidentally drilled too close and drilled through a reverse light wire. How do I fix this? Is there a way to remove the grommit? All the wires are within the grommit. I'm lucky it was only the reverse wire.

Probably replace the grommit at your friendly junk yard.

If I recall correctly aren't the wires embedded in the grommet? I seam to recall running into this issue when running my trailer wires. If you're just trying to fix the wire then you will need to separate the wires from the grommet. Pull out the grommet from the hole and use a razor blade to slowly make a slit down the center part of he grommet. Use a sharp razor blade and make many shalllow cuts (don't try to cut it all at once or you'll risk nicking a wire). Don't cut any of the thin outer grommet that attaches to the car. When your done the slit should look like the ones on pipe insulation.
