My rear bummer and front bummper on my 99 Mountianeer are starting to rust. I was thinking about taking them off and color matching a Rhino liner to it for a rugged look that won't rust....Any ideas? Comments suggestions?

Go for it. It's been done plenty of times, and has proven to be a cost effective, durable, good looking solution for covering/painting a bumper. Just be sure to sand thoroughly to make sure the liner sticks.

I don't know about bumpers, but that rhino liner is tough stuff. It has been in the bed of my old ranger for a lot of years and has absolutely no damage from anything we ever threw in it. Its expensive though. Well worth it for a pickup bed IMHO.

Well after closer inspection my front bumper is plastic and my rear bumper is metal. There is some scuffs and discoloration on the front bumper and some rust bubbles on the rear would it still work on both materials for a nice uniform look?

You would have to ask rhino about the use on the plastic. I have no idea. They have local dealers/installers all around here. Go to their website and see if they have one near you and give them a call. I think the website is something like gorhino.com

Get an estimate of cost before you just make an appointment. Ita about what I expected for the bedliner, but I don't know about bumpers.
