Mine measured 33" in the front (with 30" mud tires) before the lift. Lt.Jim looked around and measured some for me to get an idea and his averaged 32 1/4".

I just replaced my springs with some beefier stock height ones this last weekend, I now measure 32 3/4 on both sides, but I also have the fender flares, so its probably closer to 33.

so is mine normal? the bump stops are less than 1/2 from being bottomed out.how much lift will i get with new stock springs?i have thought about 2" lift springs.

that can't be right, you shouldn't be anywhere near bumpstops...pictures of what you're looking at?

i dont have a digtal camera. my x has 235/75r15 tires.there is a rubber stop for when the springs bottom out.i am setting just of off these.maybe 1/2 inch.my x rides very rough hardly any suspension movement.thats what started me looking. iam i losing my mind?????

I just went and measured mine, the stops are 1 1/2-3/4 off of the beams, the stops thems selves are close to 2 inchs thick, hard to get a accurate measurement without getting all dirty.

I've been at school all day, but I'll check mine out when I get home.

I took measurments on 5 different first gens. All appeared stock all with 235/75r15. The measurment to the fender lip from the ground to directly above the hub varied between 32 5/8" and 31 5/8".

I put F150 spacers on my front end and my current ride height is 34 3/4". F150 spacers are only 1 5/8" of lift which put my stock ride height at 33 1/8".
Hope this helped.

i had my x on a lift today.the right front coil apears to be bent.it is bowing out some while in the air.we double check the bump stops, yes it is almost sitting on them.so what gives, mine is within the height range others have listed.but has no travel in the coils.

I just glanced under mine when I got home today. The left front is sitting surprisingly close to the bumpstop even with the 2" lift. Hadn't really noticed that before, but oh well...not gonna hurt anything.

Remember that just becuase your bumptstop is 1" away, doesn't mean you only have 1" of travel. This isn't a solid front axle.. This is TTB, that means it swings in an arc. With 1" of travel at the bump stop, you should have multiple inches of travel at the wheel. I'd have to do some math to figure out how much travel (would need to know how long the arm is, how far from the pivot the bumpt stop is, and then you can use math to figure how much swing you get at the end of the arm for every 1" of movemnt at the bump stop).
