Coming across the desert this morning from Lake Havasu, my right rear tire had a side wall melt down.
I am running Michelin LTX A/T and the right rear was the best in the bunch. Used to be my spare until I swapped it out after scrapping the sidewall on my old RRT offroading in the Angeles Crest. Not sure why it blew, I was running 75mph, had 38psi in all four tires. I bought the truck used, a 99 XLT with auto hi low, and don't know how old the tires are. The rest have over 3/4 tread the blown was a brand new spare that was never roatated into the mix until I came along.
I am glad I didn't end up upside down  now debating on replacing my tires with a good onroad offroad, or replacing one tire.
