I have a huge amount of rust on my rockers! :banghead: Towards the rear wheels about 8" is completely given away to the rust. I was wondering if the rocker ground effects will cover this up. Have any of you done this or have write-ups or pics? thanks for the help!

cover it up? Thats a bad idea it will just grow and grow......

I would shave and paint with say, POR15. I was just wondering if they go all the way up to the bottom off the doors?

These trucks are notorious for this problem... only solution is to cut out the rust, and replace with fresh sheet metal... that's the only solution... then a good coat of paint!

Would i be able to accomplish that with little amount body work experience that i have?

You can buy replacement panels for the dog leg area just in front of the rear tire and the rocker panel. I just redid both sides of mine and with some work it's tough to tell they were replaced. The section that you can't see that runs the length of the rocker in behind everything is tough to locate. It does take some patience and talent to get them to fit just right. I used a wire fed mig to weld everything back together.
There are places that sell the sheet metal. I believe bumperauto.com is where I bought mine.
If you want to see some ugly before shots let me know as well as nice after pics.
Good luck.
