How many of you people have rolled over with a suspention lift? Body lift?

What about those with both a body lift AND a suspension lift?
What about those w/o a body and w/o a suspension lift?

All I was trying to do was find out how sturdy the bl is. You know more top heavy, more roll overs. i just wanted to see it in #'s:p:
 






i am curious too. i have a 3 inch BL i want to put on but i was told i should trim it down to 1 or 2 inches for this reason. but i want some more opinions.
 






There are some many people on this board that run the 3" body lift.

Thats a load of ****, you dont need to trim it. Its all in the driving. As long as you dont go Richard Petty with you body lift you will be fine. And if your really good, you can go Richard Petty and still not roll.
 






that was my thought. plus i didnt want to go eliminating the inches i just spent $100 on.
 






I added a 3" BL on my B2 project along with new urathane body mounts and got rid of those spongy body mounts in favor of urathane ones. Now it does not have that sloppy side to side action. Also better shocks and keeping stuff low in truck. Like no tire mounted on roof or your high jack mounted up high like I have seen some people do. I think sometimes when they see high jack they think it needs to be mounted high LOL. FYI, I have laied this B2 on it's side with stock mounts. I think the way I have it built now that this would not have happened even with the BL. Much better suspension and lower COG.
 






I hit the ditch during the winter going 120km/h (because Im a dumb ****) with a 2" susp and 3" BL and didnt roll.. And when I did hit the ditch I didnt slide more than 4' before I came to a complete stop. I did however feel the driverside lift up just a bit, but not enough to warrent an 'almost rolled' accident. The majority of rollovers are caused by driver error. Stock Explorers do not roll over more than other SUVs.. Go look at Isuzu Troopers.. Tell me Explorers have a higher rolling chance than those things do of the same year... Point proven.
 






I feel like my truck is less top heavy then it was stock with the 3" bl now that I have wider (12.5) tires on it. And thats with the spare mounted on the roof.
Maybe its just in my head, But it sure feels more stable now to me.

Did you do the torsion twist or add-a-leaf?
That might explain most of the suspension stiffness.

Yes I did a tortion twist and shackles and did notice the suspension stiffen up, But I did that long before I did the bl and wider tires. It started to feel more stable immediately after the bl and tire swap.
Like I said, Its probally just in my head.
 






Maybe you're now running proper air tire pressure :D
