rolled explorer wana turn into a crawler

i rolled my 95 xlt in the snow / ice storm we had finished most the body repairs my self re shaped the sheild frame and roof and putt a new sheild in but the steering is kinda sloppy still and "whinny" sounding so i decided over the next couple years i wana make a crawler project out of it im very new to this and am wondering were should i start with the crawler mods? and what would be some reasons for the whinning noise when driving it was a minor roll going rather slow and rolled down a hill not super fast on concrete lol. thanks guys.
