Roller Coaster Noise (Extremely loud)

i see now!!! im no epert on this, but i assume it has something to do with the joint is going bad, as the driveshaft keeps having to "reseat" and thee is play in it, so it would clunk as it is reseating over and over, and it may not exhibit this under high load, as 1. noise may be masked by other sounds 2. high load may keep it in motion quick enough that it doesnt do that (think about swinging a bucket of water fast enough(if you spin slow, it spills, if its nice and fast, it stays))

But the noise is the same rhythm no matter what speed... it will go away if I turn 4 wheel drive on. Then come back when off. Still the same answer?

And the roller coaster noise is like when an old school roller coaster is getting pulled up to the high point to go down

let me guess.. clackity clackity clack? maybe transfer case clutch? is yours TOD? not too sure, as ive heard those make noise before they go boom before

It might be worth checking your suspension components and maybe even the exhaust system
Welcome, but faulty suspension parts and exhaust systems usually won't make "rotational" noises.

BTW, @Flash104223 resurrected this 2014 thread and hasn't logged in since 5/2/22.
