the other day i noticed that on the roof of my car there were two cracks in the paint that run nearly the entire length of the body. when i say cracks, i mean it looks as though the area has become detached. the cracks are located on the outermost indentations in the roof, along the side that faces outward. the bigger problem is that dirt seems to have gotten under the cracks and i fear it may rust. also, what are the chances of water getting through the cracks? has any one else had this problem? what can be done to fix this?
my other problem has to do with scratches on my hood. the other day while i was using a gray ice scraper to clear off my windows i also used it to clear snow off my hood since i had left my gloves at home. later i noticed that the scraper had left 4 or so long gray scratches on my hood! i think they are very superficial, even though i tried to get them off myself but they remain. when i ran my fingernail along them, it did not get stuck so i am assuming it did not get past the clearcoat. can something like this be easily buffed out or taken out by some other method? i have the ivory pearlescent clearcoat paint job.
