Wanted Roof Rack Expert.

If there is one of you with experience with second generation Explorer roof Racks, please send me a message. I want to repair rust, but am afraid of breaking the rack if I take it off from the outside. Must it be unbolted from the inside (i.e. removing the headliner, Pain) or can it be done from the outside. Please advise. If someone has an exploded view of the parts, I could get a better determination also. Thanks sincerely. glad to have found this site. Rob

no
second gens are all out side bolted.
the left right pieces just loosen and slide out.
the front to rears on the out side remove with a phillips screw driver.
the center rubber strips are pop rivited.
