'99 Sport
Hello-

I tried searching my problem but haven't had any luck so far in finding what i am looking for...

I have a '99 sport that has started to start up rough lately. It seems like in the morning or when it has been sitting for a while that it takes a few seconds while starting it for it to actually start up.
At first I thought it might be the battery but it doesn't feel like that. Maybe something more with the fuel or spark plugs??
I am just starting to learn about cars and the mechanics of them so any help would be great!
Just a couple weeks ago I had it serviced for it's 30,000 mile service and they checked all the fluids, spark plugs and everything. I also was having problems with my IAC motor and they replaced that.

I just want to be able to catch whatever is wrong with it before I can't get it started at all.

Any ideas? What should I check?

Thanks!

Sounds like the fuel system is losing pressure. Could be any number of places. I once had a van that had a bad valve in the fuelpump which allowed the fuel pressure in the system to leak out w/o losing any fuel.

Just a thought.

Well if it just started doing it after the 30K tune up, start there. Usually when they are owrking on something, and a problem rears it;s head after they work is done, somebody screwed something up.

I would check and find out EXACTLY what "they" did when they worked on your truck. If they used cheapo plugs that could be it, It could be as simple as a spark plug wire isnt seated allthe way, or they used a cheapo fuel filter, etc etc...

They replaced the IAC you say?
I would try cleaning the MAS and then re-set the computer and see if that helps. Also get under the hood and check each plug wire on both ends one at a time....
