RPM gauge not working.

RPM gauge in my Explorer 99 stop working from time to time.
I can start driving and its not moving but after hitting a bump its starting.
I have tried the search but find nothing.
Any idea?

Those are pretty well remove and replace only. I would first check all connections related to the tach...especially those behind the dash and including the printed circuit. If good, replace the tach and/or printed circuit. There are used ones all over eBay. Just get one for your year and engine.
