So an actual, reputable dealer in town had a Nissan Murano for me... but they wanted a full inspection before making a sale. The inspection failed due to it had a cracked frame. That's when they mentioned the Focus, but that sale fell through (someone else got it). I ended up with an 09 Fusion SE with V6. When the timing is right I can even take it back to trade for something nicer (build some better credit first). So I'm working my butt off to make it all happen and work my way up.

The V6 engine in this car is very reliable. We owned a 2003 Mercury Sable that had this engine and we drove it for nearly 200k miles without a bit of trouble. Keep the oil changed and it will most likely last a very long time. Plus, it has a good amount of power. I recommend draining and refilling the transmission to keep it as reliable as the engine if it is an automatic. It sounds like you have a good plan in place. Also, it is probably good that you didn't buy the Murano. They aren't all that reliable either.

Nissans are known for crappy transmissions.

Since you're going with a Ford product there is still useful information in this forum. Read up on all the ForScan threads and invest in a ForScan compatible USB interface.
