Rust removal.

hi all,

i just took the plunge and purchased a 98 x sport. im going to have lots of questions going foward but i have a couple for now...under the doors on the inside is a hint of rust bubbles, the same goes for the base of the tailgate, how would you guys treat it? also have any of you sprayed the gray painted bumpers and flares with bedliner etc..? i also need to install side steps, any suggestions, i will post pics tommorow.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the body work section. You have to sand, prime, and paint the area unless the metal is badly damaged. In that case, it will have to be cut off, then patched with a new piece of metal. Body filler will have to be used as well.
