I just bought a plug that I'd like to mount on my roof to use for KC lights in the future after buying a Surco roof rack (probably the basket actually).

Check this thread and look at the plug and tell me if you think this plug is too tall and would interfere with the rack?

Roof Plug Thread

It would be interesting to know how much clearance is between the roof and the bottom of the rack... if anyone with one could make a quick measurement.

Thanks!

Ed

Cool! Sounds like this plug should work ok then. Most of these Safari racks connect up to the crossbeams that are attached to the rails correct?

Thanks for the reply!

So just to clarify... at 2" high there shouldn't be any place that if I mount this plug that would interfere with me putting on a Surco rack right? (with the exception of where the crossbars are).

You think dead center of the roof will be OK?
