How did you make the driveshaft angle work on the front after the swap? Looks to me liek a double CV joint or soemthing similar is going to be needed. Is there a yoke like this I can swap in or just ahve to have it custom made?

You can get a custom adapter made to adapt a double cardan style driveshaft to your t-case. a company like tom woods driveshafts would be able to do all of that for you. For a SAS you're definantly going to need a custom front driveshaft, no doubt about it.

I had to shorten my stock driveshaft actually.

I had a double carbon (or what ever the word is) shaft made for mine from Tom Woods, they do excellent work.

About how much did a new one from them run?

And my problem doesnt look so much like its going to be too short, it jsut cant droop enough for the angle that its going to be at. Thats why I was wondering if there is an adapter or something with an extra CV in it or something like that that would bolt on

It's been a while, so i don't remember exactly what the cost was, but it may have been around 250 or something. If you are using the stock tcase, they make an adapter for that. There is a picture of one in my gallery somewhere if you want to look for it. When i got my BW1354 i sold that piece to Yomie, i have no idea if he is still using it or not.

Did you order the adapter from Tom woods as well?

Once I get mine done, i'll prob give them a call and see what all i need to do. There is also a custom driveshaft shop in town..they mainly do race cars but I'll prob talk to them as well.

Yeah the adapter came from them too, it's aluminum.

Get a 91-94 stock driveshaft and cut an inch out of it , Thats what I did and they already come with a cv. A few bucks at a junk yard. Also u dont need to get it balanced after u take an inch out either becuse u have lockouts. Make sure u have the front pinion up enough too and it should work right. Ill get a pic of mine. U are running a 1354 right?

Length is going to be different for every SAS truck, depending on type of axle, if it is furter forward than stock, lift, etc. And I beleive he is still running a 4405 t-case, which is why he'd need an adapter.

I am still running the stock transfer case right now. I am probably going to go with a new shaft instead of the adapter. My axle is moved forward about 1 1/2" from the stock location.

I have also been looking at HighAngleDrivelines.com anyone done business with them or know anything about them?
