sas steering question

98 ext cab ranger
has anyone thats done a sas on a 98+ ranger or explorer with rack and pinion used a lower year model say 96,97 gear box for their sas swap? if not does any one know if the lines from the pump will match up with the steering box with will the steering pump have to be replaced also. thanks guys
 






Jefe on His SAS..... 01(i think) Used a sterring box from a first generation explorer.
 






I used an IFS toyota box. Just got the 'yota high pressure hose and the ford high pressure hose cut in the middle, then a coupling put in between them and vio'la.
