I am re-doing my steering setup on my truck, and my question is kinda silly but here goes.

What size is the DOM tubing for the links? I have the 7/8x18TPI Left and Right hand taps at my house, and want to just tap the links in lieu of using the welded inserts.

Well yeah ;). I was under the impression that you were going to order because the standard sizes don't come close - 7/8" ID is obviously too large (its the bolt size after all) and so the closest ID is going to be 3/4" - which means drilling and drilling a 4-ft tube with a large drill bit is no walk in the park. With the 0.813" ID, you might be able to get away with no drilling or just runn an abrasive rotary tool to increase the ID a bit.

If you run inserts, the choice is easy - 1.5 OD, 1.0 ID and 0.25 wall - which might be available locally.

This is what I'm running:thumbsup:

Welded inserts is the current setup I have now to. But since I have the taps I was going to tap the tube instead. But maybe I will just get new inserts, it looks to be cheaper then the new DOM.

Get 1.25 x .219" wall DOM. It is the right size and thats what I used to directly tap for the 7/8-18 TREs
That's interesting - that evaluates to same ID as the one I posted so tapping the one from SpeedyMetals should be no prob too.
