Satellite Radio

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer with a radio which has a SAT button. I assume the existing radio has a satellite capability. Is my assumption correct? Secondly, if the radio is equipped with a satellite capability, how do I go about activating my sirius subscription for my vehicle, and if the radio has a code how do I find it? Any assistance is appreciated.
